|| Lumsk is a Norwegian folk metal band from Trondheim. The band ||
|| combines traditional Norwegian folk music and folklore with ||
|| rock, progressive rock and metal. The group has both male and ||
|| female vocals with violin, guitar and drums. ||
|| ||
|| Debut album 'Åsmund Frægdegjevar' was characterized by its ||
|| blend of classical instruments and heavy metal. The songs make ||
|| up a narrative about the saga of Åsmund, who in Lumsk's ||
|| interpretation sails from Ireland to rescue a king's daughter ||
|| from a group of trolls. ||
|| ||
|| At the end of "Der e ingi dag'e" there is a hidden track (a ||
|| violin version of "I lytinne två"'). ||
|| ||
|| Tracks 2, 4, 9 & 12 are re-recordings of tracks from the ||
|| "Åsmund Frægdegjevar" demo'. ||

|| Åsmund Fregdegjævar is a medieval hero of Telemark in Norway. ||
|| This is a musical and lyrical tale of how Åsmund Fregdegjævar ||
|| is appointed by the king, then boarding Ormin Lange (kings ||
|| finest ship) then sailing off to Trollebotten (ogre castle). ||
|| Where he does battle with Skomegyvri and later rescues the ||
|| princess (kings daughter). Åsmund Fregdegjævar towards the end ||
|| returns to the King with the Princess and some of Skomegyvri's ||
|| treasure. ||
